VIBRATIONAL MATING DISRUPTION for grape leafhoppers control

The technology behind Tremos, the vibrational mating disruption system, provided by Agro Electronics and SOLTEC solution, owe its birth to being a possible solution against the golden flavescence plague (Flavescence dorée), caused by the Candidatus Phytoplasma vitis. This deseases is carried by Scaphoideus titanus (the pest vector) and is now distroying and threating a lot of the vine yard in Italy and not only.
Throught a vibrational system, that pulses on the vineyards with the same pace/frequency of the mating pest, this machine confuse the mating and preserve the crops by limiting the births.
We are now proceeding in exenteded field trial to better understand the impact that this system will have against this plague.

Tremos Results 2022 and Trials 2023

Logistical difficulties related to the pandemic and the well-known difficulties in procuring electronic components prevented us from carrying out all the tests planned for 2022. Nevertheless, we have carried out and increased laboratory activities than expected, which will allow us to proceed with the prototypes of the stand-alone system in 2023.
